Autism Assessment & Diagnosis
At Nurture Behaviour we provide gold standard autism assessments for children (from age 5 years), young people, and adults.
An initial assessment is completed to gather relevant information and to inform the assessment process. A range of assessment tools are utilised and are selected by the clinician based on the outcomes of the initial assessment, such as, the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), or a similar comprehensive clinical interview that also gathers information about the focus persons development. The Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS-2) is also part of the assessment process. This assessment involves a range of activity-based tasks.
This assessment is conducted by two clinicians.

Behaviour that Challenges
At Nurture Behaviour we provide Functional Behavioural Assessments (FBAs) to identify the reasons why the focus person displays behaviour that challenges or distressed behaviours.
We complete FBAs for all age groups. The assessment process includes information gathering, direct observations, data collection, and data analysis.
A written report, and a feedback session regarding the assessment process, the assessment results, and our recommendations are provided.

PBS Plans for Children and Adults
At Nurture Behaviour we design, implement and monitor bespoke PBS plans for individuals who display behaviour that challenges, or distressed behaviour.
Our Multi-Element PBS plans are based on the function of the focus persons behaviour. The main aim of every plan is to improve the individual’s quality of life. Each plan is highly individualised. All plans include strategies that are designed to de-escalate challenging situations.

PBS for Organisations
At Nurture Behaviour we support organisations to implement a range of PBS models of service delivery.
We work with organisations to design, implement and monitor the implementation of service-wide, or organisation-wide PBS across a range of settings (e.g., Education, Health, and Social Care).
Models of service delivery include, the Capable Environments model, Tiered-Systems of PBS/PBIS, and the Multi-Element model.
PBS for Organisations can include an audit of current PBS services, including practice leadership systems.

Early Intervention
At Nurture Behaviour we design, implement and monitor bespoke early intervention home-based ABA programmes for children as young as 3 years old.
An initial assessment is completed by a highly experienced ABA Consultant. This initial assessment will assess the child’s skills across a range of areas, such as language, social and behavioural skills.
The home-based ABA programme is designed from the results of the initial assessment.
Data collection systems are designed and implemented to ensure progress is monitored, and to inform the ABA Consultant’s decision-making regarding teaching and learning strategies.

Training
At Nurture Behaviour we provide a range of training for families, and organisations (e.g., residential services, hospitals, schools, colleges etc).
Our training packages include awareness and competency-based levels.
Topics include: Learning Disabilities, Autism, Practice Leadership, Periodic Service Review (PSR), Understanding Behaviour, Capable Environments, Tiered-Systems of PBS/PBIS, Multi-Element PBS, and Positive Behavioural Support.
Train the Trainer levels can be designed for larger organisations on request.
